New Years Day Parade, London, 2004

1st January 2004

As per usual it did rain on an off. 12 Minis were in the parade this year, (11 classic and 1 BMW Mini). The crowds were in good spirits despite the weather. Afterwards we departed to Ace Cafe off the North Circular for a spot of refreshment. We say yes to next year (isn't that right Perry?)

A good turnout this year, sorry I turned up late but nevertheless still had a laugh. The snow dissapointingly didn't settle that night for us to do donuts in the car park. That didn't stop some trying. I'm sure the waitress wasn't waiting for us to leave.

London to Brighton Mini Run 2003

Sunday 18th May 2003

Essex Mini Club took 1st prize for their Club Stand at the LSMOC's London to Brighton Mini Run 2003. The theme this year was "Wacky Races":

Dave Benson

22 Jan 1973 - 23 Feb 2003

It is with great sadness that Essex Mini Club record the tragic death in February 2003 of member Dave Benson. Dave had been a member of Essex Mini Club since 1997. A small tribute to Dave can be found here.
